about me

I wasn’t supposed to become an Art Director. In fact I was under explicit instructions from my Mother and Aunt, both former Art Directors not to follow in their footsteps. Thankfully, I failed.

Initially influenced by their advice I instead studied film. Film is a beautiful language, but I had multilingual curiosities.

I worked as a production assistant and a designer in various places, but it wasn’t until I was a Junior Designer at Unilever that I can proudly claim my first career achievement. Our team was given the opportunity, but it was my design which was chosen to champion Lipton Ice Teas through the line campaign. A campaign which was seen in foodcourts and P&C outlets across Australia for years to come, and travelled to over 26 countries.

With that personal win, my passion of working in advertising was ignited, and I’ve pursued it everyday since.

For three years I was a Mac Artist at a large international agency, but my real breakthrough came a little over 18 months ago, when I became an Art Director at OgilvyOne.

It’s here where I’ve received many awards I’m proud of.

I received two golds and an overall bronze in a worldwide creative competition for under thirties.

ADMA made me a State Finalist for Young Creative of the Year.

I received an internal Ogilvy award for employees taking an active role in their professional development; and I was chosen to be part of STW’s inaugural Women in Leadership Program.

But most proudly, I Art Directed a Dimensional Mail for IBM which received a Bronze ADMA in 2012.

With this auspicious start I can’t wait to see what’s next.
